After the longest January in history, I feel like February has flown by. Soon it will be spring break and then we’re on the downward slope towards summer!
Here are some of my favorite things from the past month:
- These slippers: I love a good slipper to wear around the house, especially since our home consists mostly of hardwood floors. These smiley slippers are so comfy that I can’t wait to get home from work each day and put them on. Grab yourself a pair right now!
- The Wet Brush: Ok, here’s the deal. My girls have used a Wet Brush for years and years, and it works wonders on all their different hair textures. But I never bought one for myself, well, because I didn’t think about splurging on a brush for myself. (And when I say “splurge,” I mean you can get a 2-pack for $16.00) But let me tell you – this brush is definitely my new favorite thing. I love the way it glides through my wet hair after I wash it. It is literally the best brush I’ve ever owned. If you’ve been waiting to try one, don’t wait any longer.
- Blind Landing podcast Season 1: I heard about this podcast in a facebook group I’m in so I decided to give it a listen. It centers around women’s gymnastics, particularly the 2000 Olympic vault controversy that I knew nothing about. Y’all. It was fascinating. The episodes are short and interesting. I binged it very quickly. Give it a listen if you love elite sports. (Side note – I cannot recommend Season 2 of this podcast because it will not be to everyone’s tastes. But Season 1 is great!)
- The Last Thing He Told Me: One of our book club members picked this book last month and we all really loved it. It follows a young married woman whose husband has disappeared and she is tasked with protecting her teenage step-daughter. I honestly didn’t know where this book was going to take me. If you’re looking for an easy yet edge-of-your-seat read, grab this book.
