Hey, everybody! It’s been a while since you’ve heard from me. So sorry about that!
We’ve had lots of balls in the air over here and I had to let something drop so the blog was the one that I let go of for a couple weeks. Hopefully that won’t happen again.
Here are a few of my favorite things from the past month:
- Roasted asparagus: I made this a few nights ago to go with a tenderloin and it was delicious. So delicious, in fact, that I ate the entire thing myself! I don’t usually cook asparagus but it’s actually a very easy side dish. You should try it out this week!
- This She Read Truth study on Job: Y’all. I had never done a She Reads Truth study before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. You can actually get these readings straight to your email, which I’ve done before, but for some reason I felt compelled to order the actual book this time. I was a little taken aback when I opened it and there was no commentary, only scripture. But as I began reading, I realized that because it’s sort of in a book format, I absorb it very easily. To be honest, sometimes when I sit down to read my Bible, I’m just checking off a square on my to-do list and I don’t actually absorb what I’m reading. But with the She Reads Truth book, I find myself gaining a deeper understanding of scripture. I’m taking lots of notes in the book and then I transfer them to my Bible. If you’re unsure, I would highly recommend ordering one of their books and check it out for yourself!
- This Kids Read Truth study: And to go along with the She Reads Truth study, I ordered the corresponding kids study for my littles. I wasn’t sure if they would like it, but let me tell you: They seriously LOVE it! They have been racing through it, looking up scriptures, writing names for God, reading Bible stories and answering questions about them. I am so excited that I’ve finally found something they can dig into on their own and learn truths about Jesus.
Ok, I think that’s it for this month. If you try one of my favorites, let me know! Have a great week!
