What I’m Loving, Edition February 2017

February is already over. How can that be? In two months, Peter will be retiring from the Air Force after 20 years, and then shortly afterward, we will be moving once again. I have to get myself together over here!

As I procrastinate all the stuff, I’ve found a few things that I love this month. Here they are:

1. Greenwich Bay Trading Company Lavender Chamomile Shea Butter lotion: Whew! That’s a mouthful! I think my grandmother was the first person to introduce me to this lotion and I’m so glad she did. It’s creamy but not greasy and has a subtle lavender/chamomile scent (duh) which tends to calm me down when I feel a little stressed. I use it all the time and love it.
2. Off Camera with Sam Jones: I recently stumbled upon this podcast where Sam Jones (who I think is a celebrity photographer??) interviews different celebrities. This may not be for everyone because frankly, those darn celebrities like to use some colorful language. But I always find it fascinating to hear people’s stories –  just like I love a good memoir, I also love a good interview. No matter who the person is. I’ve listened to several of these but the interview I found most fascinating was Episode #68 with Will Ferrell. I thought it would be ridiculously crazy and chaotic but I was pleasantly surprised. He was insightful and intelligent, and I enjoyed every minute of it. You should check it out.
3. Sacred Holidays: I ran across this company back in November when I was introduced to their advent study for kids. They have recently come out with a study for Lent and I am so excited to be starting it tomorrow! They don’t have any actual printed books left but you can always order a digital copy for yourself. They have a women’s study as well as a study for families to do together. They even have a men’s study if you want to gift one to your husband.
